Our Initiative
Clean Cities Clean Nation is a nationwide civic initiative driven by a bold and simple mission: to build a cleaner, greener and more liveable Malaysia through community-led environmental action.
Conceptualised over 15 years ago by Datuk Dr. Radzali Hassan, Chairman of Yayasan Modal Insan Harta, this homegrown effort calls on all Malaysians, from individuals to institutions to take collective responsibility for the spaces we live in.
This initiative aims to:
-
Mobilise communities, schools, local authorities and volunteers
-
Clean and rehabilitate streets, rivers, parks and public areas nationwide
-
Foster lasting behavioural change and cultivate civic pride
-
Support Malaysia’s broader environmental sustainability goals
While aligned with the spirit of global efforts, Clean Cities Clean Nation is an independent, Malaysian-born initiative, rooted in our national values, local challenges and shared aspirations.
Together, let’s clean our cities and unite our nation.
About Us
Charitable work is an act of helping people in need without expecting anything in return. That is the foundation for Yayasan Modal Insan Harta (YMIH). YMIH was set up in November 2009 to help children, disabled youth, senior citizens, less fortunate families and disaster victims. The Clean City, Clean Nation initiative further shows our commitment to building a cleaner, more sustainable future.
The Foundation's core aims are to:
-
Improve Community’s Quality of Life
-
Sharing ZAKAT for the Needy Community
-
Empowering Underprivillage Youth for a Brighter Future
-
Promoting Cleaner, Healthier, and more sustainable communities
